Debbie Jacobs is the Principle of the Practice.  She trained with Gary Jacobs, and was admitted as a Solicitor in 1988.  Debbie has worked with the company since 1986, and has been head of the Family Department in the previous Partnership since 1999. Debbie has been a member of the Law Society Children Panel since 1999.  Debbie conducts the advocacy in most of her cases from Family Proceeding Courts, County Courts and the High Court.  Children work forms the majority of her caseload.  She specialises in representing children and parents in a range of highly complex matters

Kazi was admitted as a solicitor in 2004.  He joined Gary Jacobs & Co in 2004. Kazi undertakes all aspects of Civil and Family work including Divorce, Separation and matters relating to Children.  Kazi also represents parents and children relating to Public Law Childcare matters and Adoption. Kazi became an accredited member of the Law Society Children Panel in 2009. Kazi is able to assist on Emergency Injunctions.  He undertakes his own advocacy where possible.

KIRAN SANGHA - Email: ks@gjlaw.co.uk

Kiran qualified as a solicitor in October 2006 and joined the firm in June 2008. She undertakes all aspects of family work, including public and private law Children Act work, domestic violence and injunctions, and divorce and financial settlement. She undertakes her own advocacy wherever possible. Kiran is also fluent in spoken Punjabi, Urdu and Hindi. Kiran became a member of Resolution in May 2010 and a Law Society Accredited Panel Member in July 2011.

Michelle was admitted as a solicitor in November 2005. and joined the firm in July 2008 and has previous practice knowledge in family and criminal law. Now Michelle specialises in all aspects of family law, including all matrimonial, children and public law child care matters. Michelle endeavours to undertake all of her own advocacy wherever possible. Michelle became an accredited member of The Law Society Children's Panel in August 2010.

Nicola was admitted as a solicitor in May 2005. She joined the Gary Jacobs team in January 2009. She is an experienced solicitor undertaking all aspects of family law matters. Nicola conducts her own advocacy where possible allowing her clients to feel confident that their matter will have continuity of representation. Nicola became a Resolution Specialist in January 2011 having demonstrated her expertise knowledge in Private Law Children and Domestic Violence. Nicola became a member of The Law Society Children Panel in June 2011.

PAULA JACOBS - Email: pj@gjlaw.co.uk

Paula has been Practice Manager since joining the firm in 1989. Her role has evolved from the days when she advised and assisted clients in our Criminal Department and became one of the first five hundred people in the country to be a Law Society Accredited Police Station Representative in 1995. Since 1996 Paula has been responsible for the day to day running of the practice. She was successful in obtaining a Family Law Franchise Accreditation (now known as SQM) and is the Firm's Franchise Representative. In April 2010, Paula was successful with the e-tender application for a Public Funding Family Law Contract. She is responsible for all accounts, administration and personnel. Paula is the in house Cost Drafter, preparing Claim 1's, Claim 1A's and Bills for Detailed Assessment. Paula is the Firm's Financial Controller and Company Secretary. At the moment Paula is busily working towards gaining L'excel Accreditation Status for the Firm.

SASHA KILLINGTON - Email: sk@gjlaw.co.uk

Sasha is our Deputy Practice Manager and has worked with Debbie since September 2000. Sasha works closely with Debbie Jacobs, attending clients and professionals both in the office and at Court with Counsel.  Sasha can advise and assist on a variety of Private Family Law matters including Emergency Injunctions, Private Law Contact, Residence Orders and clients who are involved with Social Services.
